As your English-Italian translator, I translate beyond content.

I’m known as one of the key figures in Italy’s ferret community. Not many people can say that!

Since 2007 …

I’ve been volunteering at several non-profit associations for exotic pets.

I was in the board of directors of …

Two ferret associations (AIAF — Associazione Italiana Amici del Furetto, and UFIF — Un Furetto In Famiglia) and one gerbil association (La Compagnia del Gerbillo).

In 2013 …

I managed a parallel association called ABA — Associazione Benessere Animale Onlus.

My role was to teach people about taking care of pets …

We created huge events focused on giving correct information on animal welfare. By teaching people and children about the correct way to keep a specific animal, we were promoting a more pet-friendly world.

I have a network of expert contacts …

Over the years, I have gained extensive knowledge about different species’ needs, but I’m still not an expert. Whenever I’m doing a translation on, for instance, rabbits, I will ask for an expert’s review of my work to ensure it is 100% accurate.
